A small gold, mother-of-pearl and tortoiseshell piqué tray, Naples, circa 1735 

of shaped quatrefoil form, centred with a cartouche of an inlaid mother of pearl couple dancing to the tunes of a flute played by a bystanding musician, on a finely-inlaid piqué pose ground, flanked by fern and flowers, a palm tree in the background, within scalloped mother of pearl border, flanked by piqué point scrollwork and engraved mother of pearl arabesques supporting a stork and a baby to the left and a stork and a snake to the right, the other two sides decorated with mother of pearl hares flanked by birds, against elaborate piqué pose gold trelliswork, apparently unmarked,

de forme quadrilobée, centré d'un cartouche représentant un couple en nacre dansant au son d'une flûte jouée par un musicien, sur un fond piqué-posé finement incrusté, entouré de fougères et de fleurs, un palmier à l'arrière-plan, à l'intérieur d'une bordure festonnée en nacre, entouré de rinceaux en piqué et de rinceaux en nacre gravés soutenant une cigogne et un bébé à gauche et une cigogne et un serpent à droite, les deux autres côtés étant décorés de lièvres en nacre accompagnés d'oiseaux, sur un treillis élaboré en piqué-posé d'or, apparemment non poinçonnée,
