The son of a woodcarver, Luigi Frullini (1839-1897) was one of the most important cabinetmakers in nineteenth-century Florence and a leading proponent of the Renaissance Revival in furniture. He participated in several international exhibitions including London (1862), Paris (1867 and 1878), Vienna (1873); and Philadelphia (1876).
