readymade playing card with colour reproduction of Leonardo da Vinci's Mona Lisa, mounted on a printed dinner invitation hand-addressed to Mr. Carl Fredrik Reuterswärd (as issued)
playing card: 87 by 62 mm. 3⅜ by 2½ in.
invitation: 212 by 139 mm. 8¼ by 5½ in.
Executed in 1965; this example is one of approximately 100 invitations prepared by Duchamp for the dinner given on 13 January 1965 in conjunction with the preview of Not Seen and/or Less Seen of/By Marcel Duchamp/Rrose Sélavy: The Mary Sisler Collection exhibited at Cordier & Ekstrom, New York (14 January - 13 February 1965).
