Executed in 1990-91; this impression is one of 15 artist's proofs aside from the edition of 55, printed by the 107 Workshop, Wiltshire, published by Waddington Graphics, London.

Morocco had a profound impact on Hodgkin, leading him to revisit the palm tree motif in several of his prints. This subject was also shaped by his memories of the vivid travel posters he had seen in the Paris Metro during the Post-War era of the 1950s and 1960s, which captured a sense of glamour and spontaneity.
