signed and dated in black ink on the French 5-centime revenue stamp

pochoir-coloured reproduction of Nude Descending a Staircase No. 2 (1912) on wove paper

image: 320 by 197 mm. 12⅝ by 7¾ in.

sheet: 348 by 200 mm. 13¾ by 7⅞ in.

Executed in 1937; this work is one of a small number of proofs created for the edition incorporated in The Box in a Valise (1941), printed by the Artist for his friends.
