The reclining pose of our lady, with an arm stretched backwards, finds comparison with other Bundi paintings of this period with ladies depicted in a similar manner. A lady yearning for her lover, which was in the collection of J.K. Galbraith, former US Ambassador to India, is illustrated in Randhawa and Galbraith 1968, p.85, pl.15.

Another painting of a lady reclining languorously on a bed, with two female attendants, sold at Bonhams London, 23 October 2018, lot 127.
