David Salkin specializes in the production of visual works that are intended to be inhabited. Elements of modernism, historically traditional textiles, and architecture can be seen in his rugs, tile patterns, wallpaper, and upholstery. With his keenly geometric eye and signature colorways, Salkin’s designs speak as both stand-alone pieces or as complements to interior settings.
Salkin holds a Master’s degree in architecture from Tulane University. His work is available through Casati Gallery Chicago, and through his studio, David Salkin Creative, which doubles as an exhibition space where he curates art historical and contemporary exhibitions.
