55 matt SILVER PRINTS (237 x 175mm., or the reverse), individually mounted in a paper passepartout, each CAPTIONED and SIGNED by the photographer in pencil, together with an autograph letter signed and dated by the photographer about this set of photographs, half buckram portfolio, marbled boards, cloth ties, slight toning to some mounts
A fine group of Bescancenot's photographs taken during his travels in Morocco between 1934 and 1939 when he was researching and documenting traditional costume and adornment. Each photograph has manuscript notes by the photographer about the location and subject of each picture.
