麥兜菠蘿油王子

《菠蘿油王子》是麥兜浮沉於過去、現實與未來的電影，作品於2004年獲選為香港電影評論學會「最佳電影」。

「這部動畫片在《功夫》、《柔道龍虎榜》、《2046》、《旺角黑夜》等熱門影片中脫穎而出，實在有點意外。但（時任會長）朗天說，這是爭議最少的獎項，評委一面倒地認為《麥兜菠蘿油王子》是該年最無人能及的香港電影。」

電影同時獲得第41屆金馬獎「最佳動畫長片」、以及第5屆華語電影傳媒大獎「傳媒評審團特別獎」。

這裡的王子與玫瑰取自電影中的一幕，今以小巧精緻的立體裝置呈現，浮浮晃晃，虛幻真實，自成一角詩意的宇宙。

Mcdull, Prince de la Bun and his rose

Mcdull, Prince de la Bun (2004) was an exceptional animation work that traverse the past, present and future of Hong Kong through narratives and imaginations from Mcdull. It was widely acclaimed by the film critics and being the first animated feature to receive the Best Film Award from the Hong Kong Film Critics Society. In addition, it was also awarded the Best Animated Feature in the 41^st Golden Horse Festival.

The idea of “Mcdull, Prince de la Bun and his rose” is one of the most poetic scenes in the movie. Through a decent hologram display with stunning 3D effect, the rose seems swiveling slowly round and round while Mcdull is swaying between the virtual and reality.
