Description

NIKE, NIKE SB DUNK LOW PREMIUM, SIZE 9

Rubber, Leather, Cotton

2016

This incredibly rare Nike SB Dunk Low Premium sample features a unique print, reminiscent of the font style often seen in the music genre, Death Metal. An unreleased sample, the pair is built in a white leather upper, with contrasting, black cracking motifs throughout. Additional black accents are found on the laces and outsole. On the insole, Nike SB is printed in a font reminiscent of this style. This unreleased design features a sample stamp on the sockliner.

The Nike SB Dunk made its formal debut in 2002 when Nike officially reappropriated the famed Dunk basketball sneaker originally designed in the 1980s with upgrades suited for the skateboarding community. The man behind it, former Nike executive Sandy Bodecker, is credited with building one of Nike’s most beloved subdivisions in the early 2000s with the Nike SB line.

What sets Nike SB apart from other competitive brands is the unbridled creativity, collaborators, materials, and whimsical highly thematic designs that define a generation of sneakerheads. Nike has explored hundreds of concepts – often with a sense of humor – through its Nike Dunks. Taking inspiration everywhere from beer bottles and horror films to jewelry and significant cities, Dunks represent some of the most beloved and creative models for the brand.
