This is an exceptional sale with Château Mouton Rothschild revealing the artist of the 2019 vintage and offering the first and the ultimate ex-cellar lot consisting of an outstanding and rare range of formats. The lot includes a Double Magnum - signed by the artist and the owners of Château Mouton Rothschild and the ONLY Nebuchadnezzar currently available for sale, from an extremely limited production.

This sale takes place on the day of the official revealing of the artwork for the 2019 label specially created by the artist for Château Mouton Rothschild.

Olafur Eliasson, the Danish-Icelandic artist, has created the original artwork Solar Iris of Mouton for the label of Château Mouton Rothschild 2019. 

The proceeds from this auction will be donated to The Fondation Bergonié, funding reseach for the Institue Bergonié, a non-profit private hospital dedicated to public service, providing dedicated inpatient and outpatient cancer treatment in the Bordeaux region. 

Sotheby's informs bidders that the seller of this lot will invite the winning bidder to collect his lot in person at Château Mouton Rothschild, accompanied by up to five other people of his/her choice. A private tour of the estate and a lunch with one of the owners at one of the family’s Pauillac estates will be offered at this occasion.

Cette vente a lieu le jour de la révélation officielle de l'œuvre d'art de l'étiquette 2019 spécialement créée par l’artiste pour Château Mouton Rothschild. 

Le produit de cette vente aux enchères sera reversé à la Fondation Bergonié, qui finance la recherche de l'Institut Bergonié, un hôpital privé à but non lucratif dédié au service public, qui propose une prise en charge dédiée en milieu hospitalier et ambulatoire du cancer dans la région bordelaise. 

Sotheby’s informe les enchérisseurs que le vendeur du lot se propose d’inviter l’acheteur final, à venir récupérer personnellement ce lot à Château Mouton Rothschild, accompagné de cinq convives. Une visite privée de la propriété et un déjeuner présidé par un membre de la famille propriétaire dans l’une des trois propriétés de Pauillac seront proposés à cette occasion.
