Folio (222 x 152 mm). Parallel text in English and Spanish, two folding engraved "passports"; a fine, bright copy with wide margins. Retrospective calf, smooth gilt-ruled spine, red morocco lettering-piece.

First edition of the first treaty between the United States and Spain. Known as the Treaty of San Lorenzo but referred to as Pinckney's Treaty, it secured American navigation rights to the Mississippi.
