8vo (218 x 128 mm). Frontispiece portrait of Hamilton, 2 plates depicting Madison and Jay; foxing and offsetting. Contemporary tree sheep, edges speckled blue; rebacked to style, nicks to head and tail of spine, extremities rubbed. 


The first edition to unmask "Publius" and name the authors.
