After the 1920s, the fashion for pocket watches had changed dramatically and the people became more preferable to smaller and thinner timepieces as it was more convenient and compact to be carried in their pockets. The present watch features a beautiful and compact 16-Lignes movement that is to our best of knowledge was designed by Victorin Piguet, who was a legendary watchmaker at the time and was known for the development of many highly complicated timepieces and were even idolized by modern watchmakers such as Richard Mille. Presented with a gilt engine-turned dial and lights signs oxidation, it shows signs of originality.
