of hexagonal form, with a stylised bud-formed finial, with letter slot and a lockable door inset with postage rate plaque and mounted with a monogram and crest, the drawer fitted to the base with Registered Post Box marking, engraved No 341 and with registry marks indicating that the piece is made of wood and registered on November 13th 1883
