L'Enfant Prodigue, taille originale (or "petit modèle")
signed A. Rodin and stamped with the foundry mark Alexis Rudier Fondeur Paris; stamped (in the interior)
bronze
height: 55,4 cm; 21 ¾ in.
Conceived in 1888 and cast in bronze by the Foundry Alexis Rudier between 1928 and 1946 in an edition of at least 10 examples; this example cast in bronze in 1944.
This work will be included in the forthcoming Catalogue Critique de l'oeuvre sculpté d'Auguste Rodin being currently prepared by Galerie Brame & Lorenceau under the direction of Jérôme Le Blay under the archive number 2021-6315B.

Conçu en 1888 et fondu en bronze par la fonderie Alexis Rudier entre 1928 et 1946 dans une édition d'au moins 10 exemplaires, cette épreuve fondue en bronze en 1944.
Cette œuvre sera incluse au Catalogue Critique de l'oeuvre sculpté d'Auguste Rodin actuellement en préparation par la Galerie Brame & Lorenceau sous la direction de Jérôme Le Blay sous le numéro d'archives 2021-6315B.
