A sweet gift, presented from Feynman to his first wife Arline, a year after they were married. Arline was known for her love of words, puzzles, and secret codes, so she surely appreciated this gift.

The copy of Reik was apparently given to Feynman by Mathew Sands, American physicist and co-author of the Feynman Lectures on Physics.  Sands worked with Feynman on the Manhattan Project in Los Alamos, and later joined Feynman at Caltech.
