height: 84.9cm., 33⅜in.
Conceived in 1909 and cast in bronze in an edition of 2 between 1910 and 1911 by Alexis Rudier and in a further edition of 10 between 1953 and 1962 by Georges Rudier. The present example was cast in 1961.
This work will be included in the forthcoming Catalogue Critique de l'œuvre sculpté d'Auguste Rodin currently being prepared by the Comité Rodin in collaboration with Galerie Brame & Lorenceau under the direction of Jérôme Le Blay under the archive number 2022-6530B.
