A Minton Majolica Large Jardiniere and Stand, 1866 and Circa 1873-91

the jardiniere of ovoid form, with a waisted neck moulded with bands of stiff leaves below a rope-twist, applied with three lion marks and rossettes suspending festoons of fruit, nuts, pinecones and leaves, supported by three scantilly-clad kneeling figures between cornucopiae issuing fruit and leaves, on a circular base, the columnar stand molded with hanging drapery filled with fruit above a band of stiff acanthus leaves, on a circular foot, impressed MINTONS, model number 1366, indistinct date code, the stand impressed MINTON, model number 168, date code for 1866
