Randall Bezzant Holmes (1888-1973) was employed as an official photographer of the Third Anglo-Afghan War, and travelled with the British Colonial Army through the North-West Frontier. This album includes a selection of his powerful images of landscapes, military encampments, and tribespeople during the 1919 conflict.
