A jadeite 'chilong' quatrefoil washer
Early 20th century
二十世紀初 翠玉巧雕螭龍紋活環花式洗
the slightly waisted sides raised on four short arrow-shaped feet and rising to an everted rim, an elongated openwork chilong carved into the vibrant emerald-green section of the stone, the creature perched on the rim while looking back at its curling tail with two loose rings suspended from its right legs, opposite a cluster of coiled clouds, the remainder of the stone a pale celadon tone
