Before reaching the NBA, Kemba Walker had a legendary career at the University of Connecticut, where he led the Huskies to an NCAA Championship in 2011 and earned the tournament's Most Outstanding Player award. The unanimous First Team All-American had a knack for big moments, perhaps none larger than when he hit an iconic step back jumper at the buzzer over a University of Pittsburgh defender to advance to the Big East Semifinal. The Walker-led Huskies would go on to win the Big East Tournament.
Kemba Walker was drafted 9th overall by the Charlotte Bobcats (now Hornets) in the 2011 NBA Draft. He spent eight seasons with the Hornets, earning three All-Star selections, being selected to the 2018-2019 All NBA Third Team and becoming the franchise's all-time leading scorer. Walker, a gifted bucket getter, also owns the franchise record for points in a game with 60.
In the 2019 offseason, Walker signed with the Boston Celtics. He continued to up his game, as he was named an All Star starter for the Eastern Conference in his first season with Boston. Walker was known for scoring ability throughout his NBA career despite being one of the smaller guards in the league.
