A Set of Three Gilt-Metal-Mounted Crested Glass Decanters, Late 19th Century


in two sizes, each of flattened form with vertical flutes, the body engraved with the Wingfield-Digby crest of an ostrich holding a horseshoe in its mouth, the verso with a single flower, each above a tied laurel wreath, the shoulder engraved with grotesque masks supporting fabric swags, the hinged cover formed as a griffin head with red glass beads inserted at the eyes, with a gilt grooved mount at foot
