woodblock print, from the series Selected Views of Japan (Nihon fukei senshu), signed Hasui, and with artist's pre-earthquake circular seal Kawase, publisher's circular seal Watanabe (Watanabe Shozaburo), dated Taisho juichinen saku (made in 1922), the reverse with hand-numbered limited edition seal Sanbyakumai kagiri zeppan dai nihyaku gojukyu ban (limited edition of 300, number 259)
