Van Cleef & Arpels first introduced the Cadenas in 1935 - created as an elegant alternative for women to wear watches. The dial was configured in a way to allow the wearer to discretely observe the time. Legend has it that the Duke or Duchess of Windsor originally suggested this concept for the watch. Since its inception, it has been a permanent feature in our timepiece collections. The current piece in 18k yellow gold is adorned with full factory pave-set diamonds.
