A Meissen Teapot and a Cover in the form of a Cockerel, Circa 1735


modelled by J. J. Kändler, outstretched, it's mouth forming the spout, its tail feathers forming the handle, its feathers vibrantly painted and gilded, the top with two gilt scrollwork motifs flanking the cover with a dog finial painted with Kakiemon flower sprigs, crossed swords mark in underglaze-blue
