Circa 1770
Appears to retain its original Continental needlework panel worked in wool threads on a linen ground, cut down to fit the ‘tombstone’ frame in the early 18th century, and backed with a piece of 18th century Chinese wallpaper.
Height 51 in.; Height of panel 25 3/4 in. by Width 20 1/4 in.
