Conceived in 1961, the present work is number 7 from the edition of 9.

This work will be included in the revised catalogue raisonné of Barbara Hepworth's sculpture being prepared by Dr. Sophie Bowness under the catalogue no. BH299.

Acquired directly from the Artist through the Whitechapel Gallery, London, August 1962, and thence by descent to the present owners
