The 1950s proved to be hugely successful for Omega, with the notorious release of the Speedmaster, Seamaster 300 and Railmaster models in 1957. Omega was known and admired for the extreme quality of its wristwatches and offered various luxury pieces. The Constellation was considered as the top of the range in terms of elegance, preciousness and technical ability.
The present Constellation Grand Luxe reference 2930 SC is a great illustration of the genuine Omega prestige. This 18ct yellow gold example bears a pie-pan gilt dial featuring attractive applied hour markers and marching hands. The specific elegance of the timepiece is further-enhanced with the use of rare hooded lugs, concealing the junction between the Omega signed bracelet and the 34mm case. The timepiece is powered by the chronometer-grade automatic caliber 505, a true modern movement for its time.
Preserved in very good condition unlike most of the seen examples, the present Omega Constellation Grand Luxe represents a rare opportunity to acquire a piece of Omega heritage.
