This away ‘Association Edition’ jersey was worn in the 1st half by Luka Dončić on June 9, 2024 during Game 2 of the NBA Finals when the Dallas Mavericks played the Boston Celtics.
Throughout his young career, Luka Dončić always seems to raise his level of play when the lights are the brightest. In Game 2 of the NBA Finals, Luka went on to put up a historic performance, recording a triple-double. In doing so, he joined an exclusive list of 24 players to record a triple-double in the NBA Finals. Luka almost single handedly pulled the game back for the Mavericks, finishing with 32 points, 11 rebounds, 11 assists, and 4 steals. The Mavericks lost to the Celtics, 105-98. Dončić joined Hall of Famers LeBron James, Jerry West, and Charles Barkley in being the only players to record a triple-double in a NBA Finals loss.

May 30, 2024 during Game 5 of the Western Conference Finals when the Mavericks played the Minnesota Timberwolves. Dončić recorded a double-double, finishing with 36 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists, and 2 steals. The Mavericks beat the Timberwolves, 124-103, to win the the series and move on to the NBA Finals.
May 9, 2024 during Game 2 of the Western Conference Semifinals when the Mavericks played the Oklahoma City Thunder. Dončić recorded a double-double, finishing with 29 points, 10 rebounds, 7 assists, 3 steals, and 1 block. The Mavericks beat the Thunder, 119-110.
Going Deeper | Luka Dončić
Luka Dončić is popularly referred to as ‘Luka Magic’ for a reason. Dončić has led the Dallas Mavericks to the playoffs the last three seasons including an appearance in the 2022 Western Conference Finals. He made his senior debut with Spanish club Real Madrid in 2015 at only 16 years of age. Before long he became the best player in Europe, leading Real Madrid to a EuroLeague title in 2018 and earning EuroLeague MVP honors.
The Dallas Mavericks traded for Dončić after he was selected with the 3rd overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft. Though some questioned if his game would translate to the NBA, Dončić left no doubt during an explosive rookie season that saw him average 21.2 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 6 assists and win the 2018-19 Rookie of the Year award.
He improved his production the next three seasons, all of which culminated in 1st Team All-NBA selections. His incredible talent and poise as such a young player has put the entire league on notice for what is shaping up to be a legendary career.
Dončić is a 5-time NBA All-Star and has been named to the All-NBA 1st Team 5 times. Additionally, he is the 2024 Western Conference Finals MVP and 2023-2024 scoring champ.
