This science fiction film from was directed by Byron Haskin, and stars Gene Barry and Ann Robinson. It is a vague adaptation of the novel of the same name by H. G. Wells, first serialised in 1897, and published the following year. It re-tells the story in a modern setting of a small town in California, which is attacked by Martians, beginning their worldwide invasion.
