Official Text of the New Constitution of Pennsylvania. Ratified Tuesday, December 16th, 1873. [Philadelphia:] Ringwait & Brown, [1873]


8vo (237 x 146 mm). Stray spots, staining and creases to upper corners of last few pages. Original printed drab wrappers; wrapper toned with some spots, marks in pencil to cover, chip and small hole to rear wrapper, chips to head and tail of spine. In green quarter morocco slipcase, with folding chemise.


Inscribed on the front wrapper by Josiah Funck, a member of the convention. This printing contains the complete text of the longest version of the Pennsylvania state constitution, as ratified in 1873. Despite the changes of the 1968 constitution, this document remains the basis for the current state constitution.
