Felipe and his son Juan Hecht worked together in Geneva and together bought the firm Rossel-Bautte in 1897. In 1906, after Juan had become sole owner of the firm following the death of his father, he sold both the Bautte firm and the Hecht factory to Girard-Perregaux.
