Imperiales et Royales in original leather-bound case with old catalogue entry recording the provenance to Prince Vrede,

Carl Philipp Joseph Freiherr von Wrede, Field-marshall in the service of the King of Bavaria, was created Comte de L'Empire and Prince von Wrede in 1814. The Bavarian court was one of Biennais' most important clients. King Maximilian Joseph I and Eugene de Beauharnais, who married Augusta-Amalia of Bavaria, both ordered extensive services.
