From the Collection of Princess Maria Immaculata of Bourbon-Two Sicilies, Archduchess of Austria-Tuscany (1844–1899)


Fine natural pearl and diamond brooch, late 19th century


The button-shaped natural pearl measuring 14.54 - 14.67 x 12.07mm, within a border of stylised floral design set with cushion-shaped diamonds, fitted case.


Accompanied by SSEF report no. 131214, stating that the pearl was found to be natural, saltwater.

This brooch was originally worn by Princess Maria Immaculata of Bourbon-Two Sicilies, Archduchess of Austria-Tuscany (1844–1899) on a wide gold bangle. When it was inherited by her daughter Archduchess Maria Immaculata of Austria-Tuscany, Duchess of Württemberg (1878-1968) the setting was changed to its present form.
