8¼ by 6½ by 2¼ inches (21 x 16.5 x 5.7 cm). Largest crystals reaching 3 inches (7.6 cm). Custom lucite base.


A plate of interpenetrating pyrite crystals exhibiting pyramidal growth, with high luster and a variegated pale to shimmering gold color.

Pyrite—also known as iron sulfide—is a prime commercial source of both sulfur and iron, and is highly coveted by collectors due to its lustrous, cubic, and complex modified crystals.
