Three South Arabian Alabaster Miniature Vessels, Qataban

comprising a jar of domed form with twin drilled handles (one fragmentary), a narrower flat-bottomed jar with twin indented and drilled lug handles, and a goblet with splayed foot, ribbed stem, incised vertical lines on the body, and incised lines around the lip.

Heights 4.8, 4, and 4.3 cm.

Antonin Besse (1927-2016) and Christiane Besse (1928-2021), Aden and Paris, acquired in Yemen in the 1960s, collection numbers CB50A, CB50B, and CB50C, respectively (recorded for export by the Department of Antiquities, Aden State, in May 1967)
