of oval form, the handles chased and engraved as foliate scrolls curling around a rosette, the bar joining each handle pair with acanthus leaves, the lower edge engraved with a recurring wave design, the upper half of the body with repoussé acanthus palmettes, the upper edge with a ribbon-tied reed border, on four bun feet chased and engraved with ribbon-tied reeds, struck to the body with K. Fabergé in Cyrillic beneath the Imperial Warrant, 84 standard
