Level into the neck, label very slightly scuffed, capsule very slightly wrinkled, cork very slightly sunken 

In 2018, there is the immediate impact and piercing purity of Pinot fruit on the nose that marks it out as DRC. The sweet succulence on the palate mixes with the earth of the vineyard, smooth and mature now but with underlying ripples of briary brambles and exotic dried fruit. The finish stays with you, seamless and yet with the untamed elements of very great Burgundy in a headline year. On Christmas Day 2019, perfumed and lingering, with great class. Serena Sutcliffe, MW
