An Egyptian Bronze Figure of the Goddess Isis

21st/25th Dynasty, 1075-656 B.C.


the goddess seated and formerly holding her child Horus in her lap, and wearing a long close-fitting dress, broad beaded collar, striated tripartite wig with double uraeus, vulture headdress, and diadem of uraei, the inserted horns and sun-disk missing, her face with full lips rounded at the corners, eyes recessed for inlay, and contoured eyebrows, traces of gilding remaining.

Height from modern base 22.5 cm.
