The Ready Painter’s workshop was active in the second half of the 6th century B.C. Works include several hydriae as well as amphorae, kraters and a lekythos. Favored subjects include highly dynamic military and combat scenes, as well as scenes of departing warriors and courting youths. Sphinxes and animals, particularly cocks, are common features. Stylistic comparison can be made with the Painter of Louvre F6, who is a companion of Lydos.
