The reference 1675 was introduced in 1959 and was produced through 1980. This celebrated reference enjoyed a long production run, and various nuanced variations over the years. Rolex experimented with case shapes, dials configurations and new materials. 

The present watch is a reference 1675 that features a configuration having a chapter ring, exclamation mark, small arrow GMT hand, gilt dial, and eagle beak crown guards. The case is of special interest as the eagle beak crown guards were only produced for about four years from 1959-1963. The tiny variations of these vintage Rolex are details which stimulate a collector's interest and the present lot is a very appealing example.
