The Datograph cased in platinum was launched in 2012 at SIHH, with the pink gold version launched at the same venue in 2015, replacing the original Datograph from 1999. This new edition received some technical improvements and cosmetic changes but stayed faithful to the much celebrated original. The case was slightly increased to 41mm from 39mm, the power reserve from 36hrs to 60. On the dial the roman numerals were replaced with batons and a small power indicator was added at six o’clock giving the watch its nick name by collectors, the ‘Up/Down’. The exhibition case back allows for a clear view of what is one of the most impressive, beautiful and immaculately finished manual wound movements made by any brand.
The current watch is presented in excellent condition and is accompanied by its full suite of accessories including A. Lange & Söhne presentation box with outer packaging, International Guarantee book dated April 20, 2016, operating instructions and leather book holder.
