The Piaget Polo was created in 1979. From its beginning the watch was the expression of the ultimate sophisticated luxury. It was purposely designed for a certain elite, as its name indicated. The watch had a great impact and marked a whole generation. The original Polo production was available in two main formats: the rounded and the square case. In both cases, the bracelet is beautifully integrated, made in matching material and with a design echoing the ribbed dial.
This present lot is a reference 7131, which is the jumbo size of the square case. Having been stored away for many years, it has developed a most attractive warm patina.
