The story of Audemars Piguet began in 1875 when two young and ambitious watchmakers Jules Audemars and Edward Piguet founded the company in Vallée de Joux, Switzerland. For some time, the two watchmakers worked closely together without formalising their partnership. The trademark of Audemars Piguet was officially registered in 1882.
In 1997, as part of their one hundredth anniversary and serving as tribute to the brand’s founder, Audemars Piguet launched the Jules Audemars collection. The present lot stands as an example of Audemars Piguet’s traditional horological savoir-faire combined with a beautiful case in 18k pink gold and a porcelain dial sporting Breguet numerals. In short, this watch stands as a timeless and charmingly elegant timepiece that would add complexity to any watch collection.
