bronze, in a gilt bronze frame

36cm., 14¼in. overall (excluding suspension hoop)

Two near-identical versions of the present composition in marble are found in the Manchester Art Gallery (inv. no. 1968.9) and in the convent of Sta Maria sopra Minerva in Rome.


The present lot is the subject of an expertise by Professor Sandro Bellesi.
