The Rolex GMT-Master II ref. 126710BLNR is easily the hottest new release of 2019, and it represents an update to the highly popular and recently discontinued black and blue “Batman” version from the previous generation. The GMT-Master II collection received a major update in 2018, when Rolex first unveiled the red and blue “Pepsi” version of the ref. 126710, ushering in the next generation of Rolex GMT watches. Powered by the new Caliber 3285 movement, the ref. 126710 benefits from an increased power reserve of 70 hours, while a refined case and redesigned Jubilee bracelet help to further differentiate it from Rolex’s other sports watches. This year at Baselworld 2019, Rolex released the GMT-Master II 126710BLNR, which caused multi-year waitlists the morning that it was announced. The new ref. 126710BLNR retains all of the same updates and improvements that first made an appearance the previous year, but embraces the black and blue “Batman” color profile that gives the watch its comic book hero nickname.
