After being forced to sell his Old Fashioned Copper Distillery (today’s Buffalo Trace), Col. E.H. Taylor opened the Old Taylor Distillery nearby. A state-of-the-art facility set in a manicured lawn, it produced some of the best bourbon of the early 20^th century. It closed during Prohibition and was purchased by the American Medicinal Whiskey Co. This bottle, at a stunning 17 years in age, was released in 1933, the same year that Prohibition ended.
