of unusual square form with baluster sides, the lid and base of blush-streaked grey agate, the lid and sides applied with bouquets and sprays of flowers and leaves in foiled and opaque hardstones, the lid also with a stripy winged butterfly, in the manner of F.L. Hoffmann, chevron engine-turned red gold mount, maker's mark F-G in banded rectangle, further struck with trilobe symbol
