Folio (470 x 330mm.), lithographed plan and 12 plates by Hullmandel after Reinagle, 2pp. "Reference to the plates" and 2pp. list of subscribers, engraved map of Navarino "Disegno del Porto di Navarrino" loosely inserted, nineteenth-century green half calf, marbled boards, red morocco title label to upper cover, without the printed wrappers (which have the title and imprint), minor spotting, rubbed with extremities slightly worn


The destruction of the allied Turkish-Egyptian fleet at the Battle of Navarino effectively ended Ottoman resistance to Greek independence. The battle was fought in Navarino Bay, on the west coast of the Peloponnese, on 20 October 1827.
